The EXPO Solar to which approximately 350 booths were registered by 180 related companies from 18 countries all over the world will be held at KINTEX in 2010, the largest exhibition place in east-north Asia with 1200 booths increased as 3 times as compared to the previous year. It is certain that Expo Solar/PV Korea is the only company specializing in developing solar industry in Korea and is expected to be a practical B2B exhibition that could push forward global business marketing as the one step upgraded international exhibition in 2010 based on the experience of holding an exhibition previously in 2009.

The ranking of installation number of solar development facilities consists of Spain the 1st as 2,281MW, Germany the 2nd as 1,532MW, the America the 3rd as 333MW and Korea the 4th as 247MW. The Expo Solar will step forward its step as the Asia’s largest solar exhibition including Korea that recorded 4th position in the world.
It is expected in 2010 the rate of solar development facilities installation across the world will be increased up to 45%. The solar development facilities installation across the world were 2.3GW in 2008 declining to narrow gap, the main reason of which was that Spain which had exclusively been leading the market reduced its solar facilities by 0.4GW.
In contrary this year Korea as well as the America, Italy and Japan is expected to build more facilities than in 2008. In case of Korea, its number of installing the facilities in 2008 grew as 6times as the previous year, recording its position as the 4th in the world.

As the Asia’s largest exhibition specialized in solar energy, the Expo Solar in 2009 was attended by 350 booths of 180 related companies from 18 countries all over the world with size of 7,756sqm. 135 domestic companies and 45 foreign companies participated in the expo and the number of total visitors reached about 30,123 persons.

In spite of its first year, the EXPO Solar exhibition in process of taking its position as the Asia’s photovoltaic industry hub was attended by Seoul Metropolitan City and Choongcheongbook-Do(Local Government) as the public affairs office, the tow main local government entities that take an active role in investing in the solar industry. Meanwhile, for foreign enterprises from Japan, Germany, Dutch, the America, China, Singapore and India a separate public affairs office was built. Inspired by this tremendous support a great deal of applications for taking picture of the exhibited things across the place have already been registered by 400 booths from 100 companies.
